Sex Offender Treatment Therapist
Our Portland, Oregon, area outpatient treatment clinic, Oregon Center for Change, is experiencing a
rapid influx of new referrals, presenting us with an opportunity to nearly double the size of our practice.
We need to hire several part-time clinical professionals ASAP!
Our practice specializes in the treatment of people with a history of sexual offending, concerns about
sex, gender, relationship adjustment, concerns with compulsive sexual behaviors (“sex addiction” or
intrusive thoughts), and individuals who are survivors of sexual trauma or abuse. We also offer therapy
for partners of individuals who have problematic sexual behaviors.
Most of the treatment we provide occurs in group therapy, but clinical caseloads may include counseling
sessions for individuals, if you’re interested. Of course, we have a bias in favor of hiring candidates who
have at least a master’s degree, a current professional clinical license like LCSW/LPC/PsyD/PhD, and
group therapy training/experience, but we know that sometimes a strong interest and a learner’s mind
is what’s most important. (Speaking of learning, beyond our immediate need for additional treatment
providers, there may be teaching, supervising, and research possibilities here; we are a training site for
doctoral psychology students from two universities. We may also be able to help with contact hours and
supervision toward your Psychologist/LCSW/LPC clinical license.)
To be considered for this opportunity, current Oregon Sexual Offense Treatment Board certification is
nice but not necessary. We’ll help you work toward that certification by providing supervision and
paying the certification fees for you.
If you’re interested, we want to talk. Soon.
No resume or application necessary at the moment; please make a phone call to have an exploratory
chat with us, now. We hope to hire at least four part-time clinicians during September and October.
(We’ll discuss full-time if that’s your interest)
