Indiana Sex Offender Management & Monitoring Program

A full-time Counselor position is now available with Liberty Behavioral Health Corporation and the Indiana Sex Offender Management and Monitoring Program (INSOMM Program).

The INSOMM Program is an innovative program that invites collaboration between public and private sector groups across the state of Indiana with the goal of reducing sexual violence and sex offenses.

The INSOMM Program provides special treatment programming to adult and juvenile sex offenders committed to the Indiana Department of Correction. Additionally, the INSOMM Program utilizes a Containment Model to provide maximum protection to the public while sex offenders are under parole supervision in the community.

As a Counselor with Liberty, you will primarily be responsible for providing evaluation, monitoring, counseling and psycho-educational services to incarcerated adult sex offender inmates who are preparing for parole and reintegration into the community.

This position is based within the New Castle Correctional Facility in New Castle, Indiana – which is located about an hour east of Indianapolis.  From time to time, similar positions are also available at the Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility in Pendleton, Indiana as well as the Rockville Correctional Facility in Rockville, Indiana.

You’re a good fit for this position if you have a Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Clinical Social Work or Psychology. Professional licensure in one of the aforementioned fields is preferred, however eligibility to become licensed within 12 months is acceptable. Prior experience in forensic mental health and/or sexual offender counseling is helpful, however not required – on the job training will be provided. New grads are welcome.
