Social Worker
Hope Network Behavioral Health Services is seeking a SOCIAL WORKER for its Harbor Point location. Harbor Point is a 30-bed residential treatment facility for adult males who have been diagnosed with serious mental illness and whose behavioral health needs presently require specialized clinical services in a secured and structured 24-hour care setting.
Some individuals are referred to Harbor Point for sex-offender specific treatment. Our sex-offender specific treatment program works with individuals who have exhibited harmful sexual behaviors and who, for various reasons, have come to the attention of the mental health system (e.g., Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity, probation).
The focus of the program is to provide evidence based services in the areas of trauma informed care, co-occurring disorders, and integration of health and wellness to increase skill development and promote recovery.
The social worker is responsible for providing and coordinating services as part of a multidisciplinary team. The social worker routinely performs the following tasks:
· screen referrals for admission,
· lead sex-offender treatment groups,
· complete assessments,
· and facilitate treatment and discharge planning.
Qualified candidates will have completed a master of social work (MSW); successful candidates will also have a professional license (LMSW, or the ability to obtain that licensure within 1 year of hire).
