Psychologist II & III
Larned State Hospital is seeking Psychologist II and III positions to join a team of mental health professionals on the Sexual Predator Treatment Program. These positions involve providing treatment to residents while the Psychologist III position will also have administrative and clinical responsibilities for psychology staff assigned to the program.
The Sexual Predator Treatment Program is one of the earliest programs to work with this population in the United States and employs state-of-the-art treatment for the population including,- Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Relapse Prevention and Good Lives Model.
Minimum requirements are eligible for registration or licensure to practice psychology in the State of Kansas at the doctoral level and one year experience assisting individuals through diagnosis, psychotherapy and implementation of behavior modification (support) programs and familiarity with sex offender treatment in an inpatient setting. The positions also allow for opportunities for advancement.
Larned State Hospital is the largest state psychiatric facility in Kansas. Located on a 78 acre campus along the Arkansas River and Sante Fe Trail in central Kansas, LSH is approximately 2 hours northwest of Wichita, Kansas. The area offers comparatively low cost of living, excellent schools, low crime rate and well developed park and recreation system.
