The Virginia Center for Behavioral Rehabilitation (VCBR) is a behavioral treatment center securely housing and treating civilly committed sex offenders. VCBR is actively recruiting for a Forensic Psychologist to conduct Annual Review evaluations and provide consultation to the Office of the Attorney General as needed and court testimony. 

The applicant must have the ability to diagnose mental illness, assess sex offender recidivism risk, and conduct effective forensic psychological evaluations. Experience deficits can be remedied with in-service training and supervision at VCBR.

This is a full-time, salaried position with health care and retirement benefits. Some day travel may be required; however, most court hearings are held via videoconferencing. Flexible work schedules are available, including limited telework. A signing bonus is available.

Required Qualifications:
Graduate of APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology
Virginia Clinical Psychologist License or eligibility for immediate licensure
Demonstrated ability to diagnose mental illness and conduct effective psychological evaluations
Ability to write comprehensive forensic reports
Efficent in Microsoft Word

Preferred Qualifications:
Virginia Certification as a Sex Offender Treatment Provider. (Supervision for Certification is available at VCBR and on completion, the candidate is eligible for a salary increase
Court Testimony experience
Forensic mental health and forensic assessment experience
