Leo A. Hoffmann Center, Inc. is looking for a mental health professional to provide leadership as a CLINICAL SUPERVISOR in our adolescent residential treatment programs.  Be part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team that promotes a holistic mental health approach for the treatment of sexually aggressive youth.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Supervisor assumes responsibility for the treatment program, maintains professional connections with outside agency personnel, arranges for and coordinates the use of outside treatment consultants, supervises graduate internships, and takes on other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

The person who can fulfill the duties of this position has the following:

  1. Master’s or Doctorate in Psychology and licensure as a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Psychiatrist certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or eligible for board certification in psychiatry,or Registered Nurse certified as a Clinical Specialist in juvenile psychiatric and mental health nursing.
  2. At least 4,000 hours of full-time supervised experience in the provision of individual and group psychotherapy to individuals in a corrections, chemical dependency, mental health, developmental disabilities, social work, or victim services setting.
  3. At least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the provision of direct therapy services to sex offenders.
  4. Experience and proficiency in sex offender assessments.
  5. Experience and proficiency in case management, including treatment planning, general knowledge of social services and appropriate referrals and record keeping, mandatory reporting requirements, and confidentiality rules and regulations that apply to juvenile sex offender clients.
  6. The ability to provide leadership skills in relating to clients, program staff, and the public.

  4. Maintains appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  5. Demonstrates group leadership and organizational skills.
  6. Provide MHP supervision on a weekly basis.
  7. Exercise tact, discretion, and judgment in working with a variety of people.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  1. Must pass an Applicant Background Study through Minnesota Dept. of Human Services.
  2. Must have a valid driver’s license and must meet our insurance company’s criteria to drive.
  3. Must be in compliance with required agency staff development training by dates listed in Employee Policy Handbook.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  1. Provide clinical supervision as a mental health professional to all program and assigned staff.
  2. Coordinate the use and scheduling of treatment related consultants.
  3. Direct client assessment.
  4. Ensure that the diagnostic assessment and treatment recommendations for each client admitted to the Hoffmann Center treatment program are appropriate for that client.
  5. Oversee the design of the treatment plan for each client admitted to the Hoffmann Center.
  6. Supervise the implementation of the treatment.
  7. Supervise the documentation of client treatment.
  8. Coordinate administrative reviews on clients when changes required for adequate progress are greater than those generally made to treatment plans during quarterly reviews.
  9. Identify treatment staff-development needs and oversee the Hoffmann Center based in-service training program for sex offense-specific treatment and for the ancillary psychological needs of those clients who have cognitive and emotional deficits.
  10. Coordinate clinical services and coverage on a weekly and/or as needed basis.
  11. Provide on-call services as assigned.
  12. Supervise interns.
  13. Maintain professional relationships with outside agency personnel.
  14. Meet all required orientation and staff development criteria.
  15. Actively participate in supervisory process.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

 

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Salary is dependent upon experience; $ 77,951 - $99,333
