Clinical Therapist

MENTOR Maryland, Baltimore Teens in Transition Program, is a community-based treatment foster care agency that provides a range of treatment programs to enhance the psychological and social functioning of at-risk children and their families.

This full time Clinical Therapist position, serves as a Clinical Team Leader for our Sexual Offender Program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing clinical services to teen sexual offenders, their biological families and foster families
• Develop treatment plans, maintain clinical records in compliance with Agency and State Regulations
• Prepare all written materials for outside services as required
• Conduct individual and group therapy
• Represent the agency at court, foster care review board hearings and Family Team Decision Making meetings.
• Provide after hours on-call coverage on a rotating basis

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) with Maryland Certification as an LCSW-C
• Professional experience in the provision of therapy services in individual, family and group work to teen sexual offenders and families
• Working knowledge of individual, group and family behaviors
• Demonstrating competence in the provision of individual, group and family therapy
• Familiarity with the Foster Care, Juvenile Justice and Education Systems
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, peers, students, families and outside agencies
• Must have valid driver’s license and a reliable automobile
