The Bermuda Department of Corrections operates three facilities: multi-level security for adult males; minimum security adult males and Co-educational Facility houses adult females and young offenders (16-21) male and females.

The Department has two major mandates which work together; security and rehabilitation. The post holder will provide psychological, risk and other assessments; have flexibility in the development of programmes and services to fit the needs of a diverse offender population and can be assigned to one of the Correctional Facilities on a rotational basis.

Applicant must be a graduate from an accredited college or university with advanced course work in psychology, as received in a clinical psychology doctoral level programme. PhD or equivalent in psychology required (for example U.K. Chartered Psychologist with a Masters Degree in Psychology). A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant professional experience is required. The applicant should be a registered practitioner and meet the local registration criteria (The Psychological Practitioners Registration Regulation 2003).Training in forensic psychology would be an asset.
