Position / Company Overview: Established group practice near Portland, Oregon, is looking for a Full-Time Therapist to provide individual and group therapy to mandated adult male sexual offenders. Our practice follows ATSA best-practice guidelines, and is an approved treatment provider in several counties throughout Oregon. Collaboration with Community Corrections / Departments of Justice is a key component of our treatment approach, as is adherence to the most recent research-based interventions found to be effective with mandated sexual offender clients. Thorough intake evaluations using a variety of sexual offender-assessments precede any treatment plan. Since the practice opened in 2003, we have had nearly 300 referrals. Currently, we have about 140 clients. Staff includes an administrative team of 3 (including a database manager); 3 master’s-degree therapists (although not all full-time); and CADCs available to provide parallel A&D treatment to sexual offender client base. Homework Tutors for illiterate and learning disabled clients also on staff.

Experience Required: Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology (or equivalent). Licensure (e.g., LPC, LCSW) a plus. Minimum 3 years of full-time work in the assessment/evaluation and treatment of adult male sexual offenders. Working knowledge of STATIC-99; STABLE-ACUTE 2007; Abel Assessment of Sexual Inventory (AASI); PPGs; full sexual history preparation; core curriculum of sex offender treatment programs; administration and/or review of sexual-offender specific assessment (e.g., Bumby Rape Scale; Abel Card Sort); and development of Safety Plans / Risk Plans for sexual offenders in the community.

Compensation / Benefits: Salaried position. Pay range: $48,000 to $53,000. Pay based on experience with and knowledge of adult male sexual offender treatment. Medical, dental, and vision benefits (75% of medical and 100% of dental and vision benefits paid by the company). Holidays paid. Five sick days paid throughout the year. Vacations paid (up to 4 weeks) as long as other salaried staff covers your groups and regular individual sessions while you are away.
